Hello! I am Nathan Higham, the founder of affordableorthotics.com. For years, I suffered from occasional foot and ankle pain caused by a childhood injury. This condition bothered me so much that after a 15 mile hike in the Utah desert wearing what I thought were good shoes, I was totally unable to walk due to the intense pain in my right heel. After visiting a podiatrist, I was told that I needed cortisone injections and custom-made arch supports. My insurance covered the shots, which were a short term solution, but not the orthotics. When the foot doctor told me that the orthotics would be $400, I was shocked! After this experience, I decided to enter the footwear industry. I started working for a podiatrist, providing his diabetic patients with accommodative footwear and custom-made insoles. After receiving my Board Certification in Pedorthics, I expanded my services to include custom-made foot orthotics and shoes for athletes and active adults, all at reasonable prices.

$400 Orthotics?
In my Pedorthic practice, I see many people who try orthotics made by their podiatrist, chiropractor, etc. and they just don’t work! The problem lies in the shoe. Most shoes simply don’t have enough room to be comfortable with an orthotic. You must combine an accommodative shoe with a custom-made orthotic to get the best benefit. I tried to use my $400 orthotics in regular pair of shoes, but it only made my problem worse. Return and Exchange Policy:
All of our products are backed by a 100% money back guarantee. Items must be returned within 45 days and in new condition. Shipping charges for additional exchanges will be responsibility of customer.

Custom Orthotic Policy:
All of our products, including custom-made and CustomSelect orthotics are backed by a 100% money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with your insoles for any reason, simply return them within 45 days and in new condition. We do not offer refunds or cancellation of a foot orthotic order until product is received by customer. If the foot orthotic is unsatisfactory, then return the item to our office and we will refund the purchase.

Foam Foot Imprinter Mistakes:
All foam casting boxes include easy instructions. If we are unable to make your insole due to a poor cast, we will send you a new foam impression kit at no charge, however, you will resposible for additional shipping.

Order Policy:
Normal delivery time is 7 to 10 business days for shoes, 3 to 5 business days for off-the-shelf orthotics and accessories. Please not that if a shoe is out of our immediate inventory, your order may ship directly from the manufacturer. The same time table for delivery will apply. See Shipping Policy for Custom Orthotics. If an item is out of stock and estimated shipping date is longer than 14 business days we will expedite the item from our source and include free priority shipping. Custom insoles are never out of stock.

Shipping Policy for Custom Orthotics:
We ship using USPS first or Priority class mail.
The following timeline should be expected:
Box receipt in about 7 days
Return box to factory 3 days
Fabrication of insoles 2 weeks
Return Shipment 3 days
Canadian customers will be responsible for the return shipping of the impression box.
